.Update: We had power until this afternoon. One and only neighborhood that did. Now we are out as well. No water so far in the house . Probably wont at this point. I got into a lot of disaster areas today. Arnold's on Beaverdam was impossible. I got some horrible pics today. I am feeling really sick over it all. I even managed to get east of the RxR tracks in Point Pleasant Beach. Sorry to say 90% of the boardwalk is destroyed and some completely gone. Martel's Pier is no longer there . Jenks looks like it faired well. Center of boardwalk for some reason is still intact. I got pics of Coty Marine's boats spread across the highway. Lightning Jacks and other marinas with boats everywhere . This storm really hit home and I could not have been any luckier as well as some of my relatives and friends whose houses were in all flooded areas but their house were the highest in their neighborhoods. So they have no water damage. Need to wait for power before I can load them. God Bless all that are effected by this .

What about places like the Shrimp Box or Spikes. Is that stuff all gone?

Is the whole Tiki Bar gone?

There are pics of boats laying in the road in front of Spikes. It's still there. No more Martell's pier, that's crazy. My mom is just west of the tracks and fared pretty well.

Tim, I'm sure it was bad, but did you get a feel for how things were around the lake of the Lilly's? I saw from pics that the east end of Atlantic ave is a nightmare.

Just the pier section and the beach section of Martels. Can't get near the Shrimp Box. Boats are on Broadway by Spikes as well as on or near the RxR tracks. Anything around the lake from The Ark east was still under water.

Best wishes to you all on the coast and all that have come to difficulty.
It will all come together again, just takes time.
Best Wishes
Shawn

My mother said all 3 lakes have joined... I have no idea what that exactly means or how its possible, but thats the last I heard.

I took this picture in the mid 1970's when I was a kid, the focal point of the picture was Betty Cook at the dock at the Shrimp Box restaurant in Pt. Pleasant Beach; however, in the back ground is the Norma K II and the Miss Point Pleasant II. The Miss Point Pleasant II was in the same boat slip last year when I drove by. I was thinking the same thing of these old fishing boats, and how they fared through Hurricane Sandy.

Thanks Tim and Keith.

3 Lakes joining. Lake of the Lillies where my dad is at the south end of town, Little Silver lake, on Arnold avenue in the middle of town (next to the beach) and Lake Louise, at the north end of town. If they joined, that's bad. The middle lake always floods, but I can't remember them joining. If it's all water to the Ark (not a big boat, but a bar), that's not a good sign.
