I think your before and after book idea is brilliant. Keep taking pictures, put it together.

So far,many of the after photos are from the helicopter. It will be so surreal once I can get back to the areas to take ground shots all over again...

So my question is this.

After a hurricane and this floated onto my land locked property, could I claim salvage rights ???

Only if you hide it in your garage and hire Mitcher T .

That's an easy one, and would be even easier if they had left those distinctive quarter windows in place.

They've even moved the house itself since the movie was filmed back in '79. With the storm, it may be a good think it's not as close to the river as it once was.

My dad worked security during the filming, and his '77 Monte Carlo is in one of the scenes for a second.

I don't think she's out yet, and now the boat is mostly on her side, trapped between pilings and under Dave's boat. Since it's a covered area you can't use a crane so we're not sure how she's going to be removed without damaging the surrounding dock/lifts. Also, despite the 25 or so gallons of fuel still in the tank, my insurance company has told me it's a "low priority".

Since the engine, controls, wiring and electronics have been completely submerged in salt water for almost two weeks, I'm thinking nothing can be salvaged.
