Each time I see those before and after pics of that "inlet", I'm amazed. Even more so now that I've seen before after and after-after pics.
That one brown house that survived in the middle of the "inlet" impressed me. I knew both of the guy's kids growing up. He was an architect who designed and built that house himself, if I remember correctly. It looks like he knew a thing or 2.

So far, many of the after photos are from the helicopter. It will be so surreal once I can get back to the areas to take ground shots all over again...

So my question is this.
After a hurricane and this floated onto my land locked property, could I claim salvage rights ???

The Amityville Horror.
They've even moved the house itself since the movie was filmed back in '79. With the storm, it may be a good think it's not as close to the river as it once was.

My dad worked security during the filming, and his '77 Monte Carlo is in one of the scenes for a second.

Since the engine, controls, wiring and electronics have been completely submerged in salt water for almost two weeks, I'm thinking nothing can be salvaged.
