Default Loss to the Sonic/Mid-Atlantic/SoFla boating communities... Frank Marchone.

I regret to inform everyone that Frank Marchone passed away at 6:45am this morning.

RIP Uncle Frank.

Mike Lattomus and Frank were very good friends. Mike let me know this morning; and I will provide arrangements once he gets them to me.

I have Frank to thank for getting me into this sport. He cold called me many years ago with the perfect boat for me at the time, a 26' Sonic. He sold that boat 3 times; and probably sold 75% of the Sonics on the east coast back in the Jay Ross days.

Brian, thanks for letting me know. I'll post the info on our website.

Frank was very well known over the many years I've been with CBPBA, and he participated in a lot of our events. I last spoke with him on the North Run about how much I wanted to live in Florida during the winter months.

We once participated in a week long run down to Ocean City with 11 boats. I recall trying to keep up with him most of the day as he was cruising along in a 42' Sonic. But the highlight was pulling him off a sand bar he had found in the Ocean City bay with the boat later that week. We laughed about that for years. My deepest Sympathy to his sister Joy who I used to work with, and the rest of the Marchone family.
