Capt'n Nabbers

Has anyone used this shop for transom repair or bottom work. I plan on replacing my transom and adding a notch to it also.
Quality of work , fit and finish.
Thanks

Tom does GREAT work...he's just a bit slow sometimes! He blueprinted the hull on my Fountain and made a custom windscreen for it for the previous owner. He did a phenomenal job on a gelcoat repair for me...matching the red so well I couldn't tell which side of the boat he fixed!

His shop doesn't look like much (ok...it looks like a junkyard, lol), but take a look at some of the boats on the inside and WOW. Runnin' Hot's Skater, Louie's 35 Donzi when it was BRAND NEW (Tom fixed some flaws in the factory paint) and a complete transom replacement on the Fountain World Record V-bottom...he knows his fiberglass.

Not to mention the fact that he splashed a mold off my friend's 30 Scarab and built it into a 30 Python...

Yes when you pull up to the shop it does look a little rough
But I have heard he does great work and have seen some boats in for repair and the look great when they leave .

When you get there you may wonder if you are in the right spot no doubt, but in my opinion, none better for stringer, bulkhead and transom work. We have done at least 6 transoms with Tom in past 8 months and his work is great.

There can be only one Capt'n Nabbers! They come from all around. The endorsement from Pier 57/Shogren would be enough for me! Stop by the Windy City on the way, I did.
