best single engine cat? bang for buck?
 

Never had a cat but am thinking about one.
What's out there single engine? Speed? I/0 or outboard?
Needs to be good east cost salt water type handling.

New or used? How much do you want to spend? Center pod hulls ride rough in big water. In a single center pods are about your only choice.

Used for sure looking at 23 warlock with a 300?
Seems like a nice boat?

Single I would go outboard for sure. 24 Skater, 25 Eliminator.

A 28 Skater would be best but thats a twin OB boat IMHO.

I think the boat below is better for fresh water than any other single engine cat. For salt water - large bodies of water I really think a minimum of 30 ft and twin engines is a must.

Any info on these. That is a VERY sharpe looking boat. Appealing, to me as I want to be in the 27-31- foot area only.
