Default WAX and waxing bottom of boat??

Just a couple of questions on what wax everyone has had good experience with, last year I used the Turtle wax 2000 ?? green bottle?? it was the best I have ever used it really made my boat shine but, also made the boat bow too slick to walk on, had to crawl (seriously). But didn't last the summer?

Also has anyone waxed the bottom of their boat, I heard it would slow you down but after not waxing the bottom on mine for years now I am thibking it may need it??

Thanks

WILL

have you tried speedwax? you can gain 5 to 7 mph just by waxing your unit vigorously with it. it was developed by a scientist named lilduece.

i never said wax the bottom of your boat i said " wax your unit vigorously" its all in the detail...you can pick up 5 to 7 mph hand speed and if done right you can gain a stroke when you switch hands...

A buddy of mine waxes the bottom of his Top Gun all the time.I tried it,and it is easier to keep the bottom clean.Keep in mind,Im in freshwater.I think that salt water would eat wax almost immediately, and that it would be pointless.
