Vinyl boat wrap

I'm looking to wrap my boat does anyone have a recommend anyone who does it in the north east? Or a company that sells a kit? I'm not too familiar with this and am open to any suggestions or advice thanks...

Where are you located? And I would not look for a do it yourself kind of thing. A buddy of mine just got a Baja 250 done. Looks great but it was alot of work!!!

Go to someone that has done a boat before. Little things, like starting from the rear and layering each piece over the last one, are things that you don't have to worry about when wrapping a car or truck but do on a boat or the wrap will peel off.

There are many grades of wrap too. Some will look shiny and like paint while others are dull.

If you do opt to do this yourself make sure you have a heat gun and some help. You'll want to pre prep by taping it on with masking tape. put it on with soapy water and a small squeegees. start from the stern. and be sure to have a good relationship with the guy that made the wrap because you'll need replacements of one or more of the sections after you screw it up.

A buddy of mine had a company in Florida wrap his 37' CC boat and they did a great job! The design they came up with looked awesome. I know you said you are in the North East, but they will come to you to install it as they did with my buddy. The name of the company is http://www.signzoo.com/ My buddies boat is on their web page photo gallery. It's the CC in the middle of the top row, 2nd page of the Offshore photo gallery. You would be happy if you went with them. Good luck.

I am in nj... Has anyone ever seen a mirror gold wrapped or mirror chrome boat the do it on a lot of cars I was thinking of something like that so it's just not ordinary

Check this place out: http://drshrink.mytrainsite.com/shrinkwrap
Cost me $1,200.00 for everything (enough wrap for 6 + boats).

I was curious about Vinyl wraps also. What is the going rate on a 38 ? I found a nice boat but, the paint job is not my taste at all.

Well to give you an idea , We wrap most of the boat we sell . I can design something very cool in less then an hour . To do a wrap on a 22' boat in standard film is around $4000 . To do that same boat in the new chrome or gold is about $10000 . Does this help with you decision making ? We can design you something , bring boat to NC and drive back the next day with your new colors .

Pete280 12-31-2012 07:43 PM

wow, more than I thought, are you talking just the hull sides or the whole boat?

OCCJoe 12-31-2012 08:11 PM

whole boat . If your sides are not more then 26" tall I can save you a bunch of money . What size boat do you have ?

Call Ryan Beckley. His board name is sticker boy. By far the best. He did my race boat.

My buddy that got his Baja 250 wrapped is in Jersey too. I will have to ask him the name of the place that did it. It came out nice. Pretty cool design!

And I know the graphics place obviously has their own shop but they came to his house and did the boat in the driveway so he wouldn't have to bother towing back and forth.

Thanks for the plug Jamie!

Here are some pictures of the wrap I did last summer for my boat! The sky is the limit when it comes to design or creativity! Great thing is that design time on the computer is a lot cheaper then design time with a paint gun and airbrush. Once the design is done, it costs the same amount of money to print and install a 3 color design or a 20 color design with fades, shadows, etc!

502ss,
That is awesome. Very nice work. I especially like the dash design. Let me know when you finish the dash layout. I would really like to see that.

502SS the boat looks great. I'm getting ready to overhaul my boat and would like to see what you could do for me. I'm also in NH and saw you on the lake last season. I'll send you a PM with my Info.

Thanks! I replied :)

Glad to know you remembered seeing the boat! So many go fast on that lake that it's hard to remember one over the other!

So I have to ask honestly, when you saw the boa did you think it was a wrap? How close did you get? Please tell me I didn't talk to you! :eekdrop:

The boat is a 30 concept (28' Hull) I would want just the hull sides and not a full wrap, the boat is all white with a blue/yellow boot stripe that starts out about 1/2" at the bow and ends up 6-8" at the stern, I was thinking about something a little flashier, that fades from a light to dark blue, and maybe some orange/yellow in ther somewhere
