New Years Eve in Freedom US1
 

Freedom has been a 110 octane boat her whole life. We changed the pulleys on the blowers so we could run on pump gas. This was the first time she has ever ran on 91! Makes it a lot easier than lugging around big drums of race fuel.

They probably didnt notice any difference at the speeds they were running.

why do you have the covers on the hatch scoops in the first video?

Yeah it was pretty rough. Didn't aim for high speeds. Got her to 100 at one point.
Covers are on the scoops to keep the salt spray from going in the engine room. The backside of the scoop allows air flow.

Better then I thought it would. Really good as a matter of fact!! Eric set them up for 110 / 1300hp and 91/ 1100hp on last rebuild. Just never tried it. I'm leaving them set up for 91. Lot easier to go wherever without a support crew following you with 110.
