Mrytle Beach area OSO Members
Any OSO members live or boat in the Myrtle Beach area? Any good Beaching spots? I will be there during the first week in August. Got a slip reserved at Osprey Marina. Ready to have a week of great boating, sunshine and lots of boat sodas.

Run the intercoastal waterway (Waccamaw River and Little River) from Georgetown to the North Carolina boarder. Beach your boat on Bird Island which is the first island on the left at the North Carolina/South Carolina boarder. You can go out into the ocean there. Don't miss Bird Island. Warning!!! Don't go on Sunday if you have kids or a small you know what. Sunday is nekkid day.

Sea Ya,
Thanks for the info. I may boat there on Sunday, but keep my distance so the kids can't see - but take my binoculars so that I CAN SEE!!!!!!!
How often do you boat in Myrtle Beach? Last time I was there I checked out the ramp at Murrel's Inlet / Leads out into the big blue water. Looks like alott of fun!!!!

I go about six times a year to Garden City. We have a condo on the ocean side about a hundred yards from Marlin Quay Marina. We are 2.2 miles south of the pier and traffic light in Garden City. I take the boat once a year. I use the public ramp beside Captain Dick's on the other side of Murrell's Inlet. We usually spend more time on the Intercoastal Waterway. We put in at Wacawatchee Landing. Lots of good places to eat at Murrell's Inlet.
Sara J's, Oliver's, Dockside, Dead Dog Saloon, River City Cafe, Bullfeather's, Lee's Inlet Kitchen. If you're into Harleys, check out Suck, Bang, Blow but don't take the kids. Lots to do at Broadway At The Beach. Take the kids to the aquarium and the butterfly pavillion. While you're on the Intercoastal Waterway stop at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Enjoy.

See Ya,
GOOD INFO!!!!! We are renting a house at Surfside Beach. About 50 yards from the sand. Looking to have a "GREAT Time" down there!! It's funny - I live about 15 miles from the Beach here, and can't tell you the last time I was at Va. Beach. But, I'll travel 300 miles to go to a different beach. Go figure!!!!!
Been trying to see if any OSO members live in that neck of the woods. Wanted to hook up with some and maybe do a mini run and churn up the waters of South Carolina.
Thanks again for the great info!!!

Too Old,
My Scarab is a 33'AVS w/502's. You and I talked year before last about something I had listed in the classified section. Congrats
on the Phantom. Fast hull.

Too Old,
Now that you know where I live, don't be a stranger.
You described my place to a tee. Do stop by the next time you are in Charleston. The boat is usually on the trailer in front of the house
during the week and in the water in front of the house
on the weekends. I always pull it out of the water and
clean it up Monday mornings.
It's hard to miss from across
the river. Come by for a hot lap next time. I saw 81mph on
the gps two weeks ago. I'll
be in Cincinatti Friday and Saturday for the poker run.

Too Old,
Are you in the Myrtle Beach area?
I'm planning on a couple of runs while there. Possibly run to Charleston Yacht club (or some location in Charleston) one day for lunch. Then also a couple of Ocean runs. Any OSO members in the area are more than welcome to join in - the more the merrier....
