HP 500 Blue Paint
 

What is the correct Blue paint color for the HP 500, or 525 EFI, Blue Engines, and , where can I buy it.

Teague Marine sells it in the spray cans. I just did both of my motors last winter. PPG sells the paint, i believe that this is the code. PPG-DUHS 19281. That is the best way to go to get it done correctly. Had all my parts sandblasted and prepped. PPG also has a primer to prep things. If you send me and e-mail i can send some pics of the finished product. If i remember correctly i got that paint code from Merc. ([email protected])

The spray is okay for a touch up but if you want to do it right go through the whole process. The paint is not cheap, 106$ a quart if i remember correctly.

I usual get my spray can through Ocean Performance in CT. , but its expensive...25.00 a spray can. Looks really nice though.

I am just doing some detail and repaint on small parts to keep the engines and hardware looking nice, not painting a complete engine,, thanks for all the response and info, this really helps.
