The Nor Tech is a way better boat. The Cigarette is gingerbread

WOW, Really:grinser010:

I've been on both boats, They are both very nice, very well built boats. I tell you what, You come to the Miami boat show and decide for your self. I'll even get you free passes for the show.:ernaehrung004:

A gingerbread ? LOL Really. Both are very good boats. I think comes down to your personal choice. I looked at both and for me the Cigarette Top Fish won for the reasons important to me. I have had mine for a year now and can tell you my decision was the right one for me. Dealing with Skip, Hector, Cary and David has been a true enjoyment.

Yeah I thought the OP was looking for opinions on two specific boats. Ah what do I know?

+1..... Look forward to seeing you at the show.:drink:

Well if you guys could get me on one of your boats then I could give him my honest opinion.

Tom A. 01-16-2013 12:09 PM

Go for a ride on all of them. It really depends on what you like, your overall feel of the boat and how you plan on using the boat.

I have been on both the Cigarette and Nor-Tech. I had a 1/2 hour ride on a Top-Fish a few years ago and it ran real nice. I liked it a lot! The following year I spent a day out on the 39 Nor-Tech with Terry and fell in love with the way the boat ran and was laid out. Fast, nimble, and yet handled any seas we saw. The Cig felt and rode as a bigger boat, little more sluggish (still plenty fast) and I didn't like layout as much. So between the two, the Nor-Tech gets my nod.

However, I have spent many days on the Statements both the 34 and 368 and I have to say it is an even split for me between the the Nor-Tech and Statement.

I wish Donzi was not in limbo right now because to me, the 38 Zfx was the best CC ever made.

That's a great idea. Hope to see you there.

There isn't anything I don't like about the NT 39... As i get older I keep thinking about it more and more.

He didn't give much back round and I don't know him personally so I mentioned another company that is on par with both boats.

If it wasnt for this site and people talking openly about their boats, stories, history, and other things I would still think a Baja Outlaw is the end all of powerboats.

I am a "younger" boater so I missed a lot of the action when Offshore racing was at it's high points and designs and companys were riding high. However people on this site and many others have helped me learn more than I ever thought I would and I am still learning.

Don't knock someone cause they posted another idea or suggestion...it's just an idea. All boat mentioned are AMAZING and I would be proud to own any and I am sure others would agree.

Just wasn't sure if the OP had prior knowings and did nothing more than open up another idea. Did not mean to offend anyone by that.

WARPARTY36 01-22-2013 02:02 PM

Nate, Salesmanship wasn't knocking you. That's just his quick witted style:drink:

salesmanship 01-22-2013 03:33 PM

Thanks Bubba but I wasn't going to say anything until Carrie (Cdowns) brought it up.
Yes Nate this forum is all about exchaging ideas, opinions and thoughts. That's what brings us here.
We are all here to learn and hopefully have some fun in the process.
I didn't mean to offend but in this case the OP asked for a comparison between two specific brands and I along with Carrie think that's how the thread should go.
