KC,

Thought you where going to Nextel?

KCHOTBOAT 07-18-2002 02:10 PM

Can't still have 6 months to go on my contract. I am going to use Donna's nextel for now on at the lake.

Audiofn 07-18-2002 02:15 PM

I had Cell One and I was pushing 1300 bucks no that is not a typo that is 1300 bucks a month!!!!! I got rid of it and went with Sprint. So far there have been a few technical bumps on the road but over all I am happy. I pay not about 200 a month. That savings pays for my new truck and the gas, and a lot of other stuff to boot. Soon they come out with DSL speed on the phone so that will be cool to be anywere with the coputer that has Digital service and be able to rip it up on the internet.

I got my cell phone bill last month and they bogusly added two new lines and two new cell phones so my bill was up to $427
The funny part was the extra lines were added but the numbers were all 8's. I think someone go some free phones somewhere in the company. Fortunate it only took me 30min to get these charges dropped and the extra lines removed.

Tanned-
are you still selling nextel? If so pm me?

Thanks

You guys need to spend less time talking and more time on the boat. Sprint bill- 52.95 for 2 phones, Home. ATT 42.00 for long distance, and 50 for local. With what you guys pay I could afford a new boat. Kinda like Audiofn's new truck.

RCM255 07-18-2002 02:23 PM

a couple months back the female had a 700 dollar cell phone bill
it was all legit too. ....she doesn't have a cell phone anymore:)

my bill with verizon was 250+ switched to nextel 89.95 month no change stays the same, some bad areas but that is what voice mail is for. leave a message it saves me 150+ month:D

cuda 07-18-2002 02:26 PM

Cellphone $62.88 almost everymonth, Voicestream
Home ~ $30 Verizon
LD ~$4

Risk Taker 07-18-2002 02:30 PM

Verizon business account (we have 5 phones on it). My phone is $59.99/month for 1300 minutes, no roaming/no long distance. Have yet to exceed that. 21 hours/month is a LOT of talking.....

Sprint is good, however if you stray from the "major metropolitan areas" it is very hard to get a signal.

jr,

Alot of us use them for business.

Audio,

Don't hold your breath waiting for sprint to have DSL speeds. It will be quite awhile it looks like.

I used to sell nextel, so I have some insight into it. I know you like your electronic gadgets........Nextel will soon have a wireless card to put in your laptop or even a pc I guess, that you will be able to be on the internet (using high speed packet data) and still be able to place and take cell calls.......(pretty cool huh)

The wife and I got a match set of Nextels - just so I could get ahold of her and vice versa.
First month: Her: $450.00 Me: $75.00
Next month: Her: $950.00 Me: $75.00
Next month: Her: phone on bottom of lake Me: $75.00

Saved myself about 6 grand by throwing that thing into the lake.:D

X-Rated30 07-18-2002 03:01 PM

It took you two month ??  LMOA :D :D

blown formula 07-18-2002 03:25 PM

Way too many roaming charges with nextel & sprint. AT&T- no roaming charges at all!! Service is spotty with Nextel & Sprint , US Cellular/Verizon, etc. AT&T has the best coverage area for me at least.....mo bill less than $50.00 5 states toll free in or out of your home area. Some companies will flat kill you with those roaming charges. If you drive from Tulsa to Witchita, Ks. as soon as you get close to the state line your phone will ring.....you answer it & nothing is there. That was the local ceel company calling & you see a $3.00 roaming charge come on your bill for answering their call to you! What a deal. God, I love cell companies!! NOT!!

NASTY HABIT 07-18-2002 03:36 PM

I never see the bill........maybe I'd better do some snooping..

I took the first months bill and let her work it off in trade. I was too worn out afterward to do a repeat on the second month!:D :D ;) ;)

Just Say N2O 07-18-2002 03:54 PM

I've had Nextel for 5 or 6 years (the beginning), and there aren't any roaming charges.

Scooter 07-18-2002 05:10 PM

nextel don't roam, either you can call or you can't

Jana 07-18-2002 05:15 PM

I've got an old Cingular plan with unlimited nights and weekends. Not a lot of "anytime" minutes, but for $42/month I can talk all I want on weekends. It does have roaming charges, but their new plans don't.

David 07-18-2002 06:05 PM

I have had Sprint for 4 years. Bill used to be $50.00 a month, but added new phone for wife. Now it's up to $69.95 for 5000 minutes. I have both phones set to no roaming. I told wife "no internet on the phone" for $0.40 a minute. We use Sprint for all long distance calls, no charges. It keeps the regular phone down to around $35.00 a month or so.

beerock 07-19-2002 05:59 PM

it or not they do have wireless internet for computers, but they cost alot.
one of my friends friends(I dont like him)- has the wireless internet on his palm pilot and his computer, its pretty sick, but if you wanted the wireless it owuld be around 599 a month!!!

oh yeah, I switched from cingular to at&t, I get service up to maine and ot the bottom of jersey, my minutes last month were 1400, my work requires me to call up and ask about prices and sh@t, maybe I can get them to pay for it...LOL

im gonna call up next week and change plans...
damn i am in a bind this week, i spent over 1000 bux and have 10 bux in my wallet and the weekend is here.....

anyone care to send me some cash so I can drive my boat this weekend :D

Shorgasm 07-19-2002 06:09 PM

Certain girl of mine got her cell bill last month to the tune of $680 ........she freaked....and the funny part is she was talking to me for about a half hour *****ing about it.......funny how that works......

But on her behalf......it's the only phone she has.....
