someone posted that around Christmas time I believe - good way to pass winter!

Same principals just the water is frozen. As long as its fluffy it should be good to go.
Pretty cool though.

Back4More 01-24-2013 08:51 PM

That was cool!
I would prefer that over running on the water.

KitePool 01-24-2013 09:02 PM

you think thats possible with a real boat?

Level III Chaos 01-24-2013 09:37 PM

Interesting.......our electric RC boat has a water jacket on the engine to keep the engine (I assume) from burning up! LINK

That's pretty cool

I have to try that in my Hydrostream if we get snow tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing with my Bies 4pt hydro.

If it works can you pull me on a tube.

f_inscreenname 01-25-2013 12:42 AM

You will have to be the one to give it a push to get it going and then jump on the tube. lol

Not to hijack the thread, but how's the Bies running?

Runs great but a bit scary out on the water where I live (as you know). The way the transom is rounded (and the rest of the boat for that matter) I had a cabin cruiser go by the last time I was putting it on the trailer and could have easily lost the boat if I wasn't super diligent about wakes. Its not made for hopping waves that's for sure. I'll have to take it down to a friends in Delaware where they have nice flat long rivers to run on to see it really go and to see if its set up right.
The main objective is for now is to get it ready for the boat show this spring. Just got done restoring a period correct Morse controler for it along with a new chrome Alt to dress the motor up a bit more.

You must be talking about the Nanitcoke River. I like the Choptank River (a little north west of the Nanticoke). I took these (or my friend took them of me) on the Choptank on the section without a speed or noise restriction.

Wow cool. Never seen that done before. I guess they won't have to worry about it sinking.:lolhit:
