Reds boat rocks.

Should see it in person had to put it into prospective untill it's next to another boat.

That Nor-Tech is amazing. I can attest as I got to ride in it for a story in Powerboat a couple of years ago. One of a kind, that's for sure.

oregondunes 01-25-2013 04:29 PM

there are several videos of them running. take a look at them on Youtube. Notice the wake it leaves. How long and wide, especially compared to when it's running next to another say 35-40'.

The SPX doesn't look to shabby either. :coolcowboy:

Nate5.0 01-25-2013 04:43 PM

Even crazier is the boat is on a lift behind his home.

Isn't that Lady Lisa. If it is the boat is docked in KW at the marina next to the hot pits. Saw it up close and its unreal

johnnyboatman 01-26-2013 09:42 AM

The maintenance cost alone would cost a million plus

Im sure it lives in the water. You either drive it there or have it freighted by ship to your next port.

It is in the water. Like someone else said...On a lift out back of Red's house. They actually have to be mindful of the tides when putting it in the water because of the draft.

But here's the type of rig they used to deliver it to the water.

Someone mentioned you have to see this thing in person to really grasp the size of it. I think this photo of my wife standing on the swim step give you some what of an idea. It's just massive!!

Any updates on hull #1 of the NT 80? It was the bright blue one w/gold trim that ended up confiscated in Mexico, owner arrested with a lot of cash trying to board a jet to Texas?

And that's the end of the story. Boats still in Mexico. Owners still in Mexican jail.

Hopefully writing a screen play or novel to recoup the money lost on that deal because it makes a great story!
