Hot Boat,

You kind of remind me of a buddy of mine....I'll ask him "Hows the bad luck goin?"

He'll respond "Oh pretty good"!

Hay maybe he is a relative of mine

Well I cant go and test the oil cooler. We got a thunder storms all night. I will test it later tonight after the rain stops. I ruled out the exhaust being the problem. If I was having that much reversion the boat wouldn't start of idle correctly. and I would have some steam coming from the tail pipes witch I never saw. Also I have long tube headers that are fully jacketed there is no gasket that seals water. The leak is substantial enough water to raise the fluid level on the dip stick 3" in only 2 hours running time.

Thanks again for the support , I will keep you all posted.

I could have my father bring down the 19' Gayliner with that big 4 cylinder in it until we get running again.

Hry Hotboat,i hope its not the trimtab doin it,just kidding, how much water pressure do you have, what head gaskets? was the block o-ringed? tripps

Hot Boat 07-20-2002 03:31 PM

Trips I only had 2-3 psi of pressure at cruse speed and the block runs super cool due to the fact that it is a blower set up. I already had a problem with one of the heads Now I am thinking its the other. This morning I spotted some black residue on the bottom of the hull just below the front edge of the head . I am thinking that might be from a leak on the head.

Any way I just got home from dropping the boat off and it is now in very good hands. They say worst case scenario , if I need an new head I should be up and running in two weeks. depending on availability from GM.

I waited this long what's another two weeks.

Paul-
Dude sorry to hear of your problems. You've sure worked hard to get to where you are but you'll look back on this and will seem like a mole hill compared to the mountain that you;ve already climbed. Take care and again sorry to hear this.

2 weeks? Are they going to mill the head and block?

dckrafft 07-21-2002 10:40 PM

Based upon Paul's prior posts and experience, I would have to say if he was told 2 weeks, it will more than likely be 3-4 weeks. For his sake let's think positive. ;)
