Intercept Boats (military)

Anybody ever heard of these guys or ridden in their boats?
I thought it was cool to seea cat of this type used for police and military operations.

The more I look at it, I think it looks like a Aronow USA racing 27 but it is still neat to this type of boat used for military.

I saw this one in Boston Harbor this summer, it looked like a nice job to have.

specs say 60 mph top speed, seems pretty slow for a 27 ft with twin 300hp outboards, must not be a very efficient hull. They should send it to Reggie Jr, he can probably pick up an extra 20 mph for them!!

Most of the time with these boats made for law enforcement or military it's not that the hull isn't efficient it's they usually have to reinforce it in some way by using different materials, i.e. kevlar etc, and the added weight of this and all the extra electronics or even gun mounts slows it way down. All this might not apply to this boat but just speaking in general.

a lot of it isnt setup tp go fast.... look at the operator demographics, you put an early 20/s alpha make in something that goes fast on someone elses dime it's going to be broken more than it goes fast.

Its looks like stability and ride were the main concerns.

Fountain branded their military boats as "Interceptors" years ago.

Intercept is in Pembroke, Massachusetts about a half hr suoth of Boston. Well made by very nice folks. I've visited them several times over the years. I believe the 27 Cat is an old Aronow design.

See them around the haaabah all the time, they look very durable. I believe they used to have 300 Opti's on them now Verado's.
