31 unless a customer asks, then just act like a woman...

73 now and shortly 74. Started with a Martin 60 and have moved to my 3rd Donzi. This one hits 84 on the GPS. New eyes would help.

I too am surprised how young some of you guys are with nice rides in an expensive hobby.

Good for you. Keep working and kicking ass.

43 but high milage! Kids are 12, 11, 9, 7, and just turned 2. Over the last 9 years we have had about 30 kids total through the house for foster care, definately can age you physically, but I have been able to maintain my high level of immaturity! Definately not the person I was 9 years ago.......

Couple of years to go to 70. Slowing down though, haven't been in a winning offshore race boat for a couple of years now.....yup, Around Long Island race, 271 miles and it only took 6 and a half hours.

It is just a number, still ride my Harley and drive cars like I used to. Got stopped for speeding last week. Cop told me that he knew I saw him first and slowed down, BUT I still got you at 83!

Had the most fun in my 30's raced Open class, raced the Cannonball across country, but it all passes at some point. Enjoy the ride, ain't. nobody getting off alive.

It is pretty easy; rich parents, hard work, or financed to the hilt

put me in the hard work category , my parents aint rich , and my AT is paid for . however that stupid bayliner is financed from when i was 21 years old ..... bad decision

ridefast77 02-05-2013 07:57 AM

31 but feel 18, so im doing good :bunnydance:

Aussie695 02-05-2013 08:07 AM

Just turned 31 and Hard work category for me... and still can only afford a 19ft hot rod on the water...

I make a decent living and curious how the guys younger then me can afford some of these boats... even some of the guys that are couple years above me... But then again I am single and living on my own... gets expensive that way.... LOL but still!!

Do you guys finance your boats???

caseyh 02-05-2013 08:31 AM

25 for a few more months.

21 bought first powerboat. 22 when I was put in charge of doing the Tickfaw 200. 25 rebuilding a boat that's a year younger then me lol.

tgersx 02-05-2013 09:01 AM

32 and no boat.. in medical school.. my brother had the OL.. one day I'll have my own..

86RedRocket 02-05-2013 09:04 AM

32, but I like to call it "21". lol. I've paid for all the boats I've owned, and didn't have my parents funding them. I do a lot of the work myself, so it makes it easier on the wallet for sure.

redsled33 02-05-2013 09:33 AM

i am 34 I had a short term loan on boat and had to buy an older boat and do alot of the work my self. I guess it pays to have talent and very talented friends who like to go out on the boat

chrisf695 02-05-2013 09:56 AM

Again... Im 31.

I did/do all my own work on my boats(upholstery, winterize, tuning ,etc)... except for major engine work... has saved me thousands...

My friends are absolutely worthless when it comes to wrenching on anything... not even sure they own a freakin flat head screw driver or how to check there oil... pathetic. I'll even get calls on there car problems or house crap. Gets really annoying sometimes.... Its like dude... google it... figure it out!!!

Fenderjack 02-05-2013 10:01 AM

I wish I was born into money. Did have a girlfriend that wanted to marry me and buy me a fast cat but had to trade her in for one that wasn't crazy and violent. LOL.
