I don't think i would want to make any turns with that stuff on the bottom . No sticky , end up upside down .

johnlaskowski 02-10-2013 07:50 PM

Deep, I agree I feel like the boat would roll.

sea6 02-10-2013 07:54 PM

put your cell phone in it, or spray your car. Awesome

PremierPOWER 02-10-2013 10:07 PM

Def not on the bottom of the hull but what about vinyl interior, carpet, gauges, Electronics, hull sides, engines, etc etc.

I vote for MY WAY IV running @ LOTO... just an "experimental" coating on the actual wetted running suface area when running at speed - could be rediculous speeds - GPS AND the radar traps

40gt 02-10-2013 10:43 PM

What about for slower boats - like cruisers?
Interesting product.
I would be interesting to see if it works as antifouling & for how long.

As for fast boats, what if you selectively used it?
Maybe leaving a "V" near the transom for "grip" or didn't cover the strakes?

Interesting product.

Audiofn 02-10-2013 10:55 PM

I think the boat would sink to the bottom... :D

Thats what I was thinking. My boat having a top speed of 52mph with a single engine, I think it would be a perfect candidate. If I remember about it, I'll order some and give it a try when it comes out of storage.

Kurt Hamilton 02-11-2013 03:29 AM

I think it would definitely be able to be incorporated on running surfaces to some extent. How bout gear cases? Flat pad of v bottom? Bottom of tabs?

drpete3 02-11-2013 05:39 AM

Clark griswald developed the product?

scarab63 02-11-2013 06:57 AM

doubt it

Ok if this stuff was so good it'd be bought by a huge company and used on EVERYTHING.
buildings=vinyl siding $$$$
Clothes= jackets/ boots, etc....... Think timberland, ll bean, etc....$$$$

My point is if this stuff performed we would see it in everyday products and its only form of advertising wouldn't be a crappy youtube vid.

So you are saying everything that is anything is already invented and in the hands of large companies? Time will tell.

akaboatman 02-11-2013 07:13 AM

No cleaners high pressure water or bare hands. Don't think it will work on boats. Artie http://youtu.be/Z-WNb0NLSTI

4bus 02-11-2013 07:32 AM

Saw this stuff at a chemical trade show about a year ago and the first thing I thought of was water spots on my toys :D

I was told there by the rep that the product dries flat and hazy, it also will not adhere properly to a slick surface for long. He also stated in its current form as a top coat it was made to protect items in the short term, but will wear off so it is not a permanent solution.

They had future plans to actually manufacture items with this product as part of the material source, giving it longevity. Neat stuff, but really just the next stage up from scotch brite which people were amazed by in the 80's and now rarely use

tnc110 02-11-2013 07:43 AM

Be fun to spray down the competitions prop with this stuff!:party-smiley-004:

Nope, not at all.
I'm saying if this stuff was so revolutionary it would be picked up ASAP by a large company, or companies or coppied.... U don't think a good lab could figure it out and turned into a cash cow? Why is it not used by army, marines, etc....?
If its not being exploited and used in everyday products already......why not???? Prob cause it has flaws, makes your pubes fall out if your within 5' of it, or is just plain b.s. scam
Why is their best form of advertising and sales a bogus youtube vid??????

Not everyone has contacts with big biz. The video just went viral so we'll see.

A document I found says it was used on Steel and submerged in salt water for 30 days so it is promising. At the very least I'd coat the bottom of my bilge in this stuff so I don't have to keep cleaning it!

professor_speed 02-11-2013 08:53 AM

Looks like GE had this 5 years ago?

Also this stuff is the same concept as scotch-guard.

Keith Atlanta 02-11-2013 08:54 AM

We'll see, I just ordered it.

I'm going to start a business coating driveways with it. Sorry Mike Tkach...looks like no more snow plowing will be needed.

Good one....:lolhit:...I wouldn't mind a dab of this stuff on my trailer bunks and maybe get a whole house dip .

Interceptor 02-11-2013 12:31 PM

I imagine bald guys could dip their heads in a bucket of this stuff

You are correct Artie , ain't gonna work on boats .

akaboatman 02-11-2013 03:12 PM

Maybe if you leave it in your yard an don't clean it . LOL

Orionsilverboat 02-11-2013 06:25 PM

Dont waste ur money, tried it, will not stay on any slick surface at all, or a boat in the water will not stay on

Please watch this before you put it on your boat. Artie http://youtu.be/Z-WNb0NLSTI

sr73z 02-11-2013 06:58 PM

looks pretty cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work as good as in the demo.

pstorti 02-12-2013 07:03 AM

looks like it would be a better product for the boat cover than the boat bottom.
