I have angled now and like em but have had straight with flappers (long tubes) and thought they looked bad ass...the little short ones with flappers arent the look I would want.

Yeah, I thought the same... no platform... but the wife needs the teak platforms for the sandbar... getting in and out of the boat would be very difficult for the ladies... Would be interesting though seeing them try

IMO
Angle tips rule....

I left my plattform off after I did my thru hull.
Best thing I ever did cuz thers no in and out at the beach now. Once your out your out and theres minimal sand at the end of the day. When people could help themselves it was a free for all...
Every time the the wife comments i just fall back on hey! would'nt be a problem if youd let me upgrade....

Do what you like man its your ride!

Ok.. So say i was too remove the platforms... there would be 8 holes that are 1/4. Half in the dark grey and the other in the white... I know i could patch the holes... but the gel coat matching would be a pain the in the ass. And cost $$$... right?

Yea it turns into a small project fur sure. I was planning on putting my plattform back on....... even had 3" bracket spacers made to clear the tips, but that ended up bieng too much weight to add so I went the other way.
I had imron made to match the color that was there, painted, wett sanded, and buffed it.......came out real nice. Sucked cuz I ended up wet sanding the whole boat afterwards looked so good.

Another question... should i use a rubber gasket for the tips or just re-apply some 4200? Or both?

i like the angle better too but you wont have them on long after your wife hits her thigh on one when moving around on your little swim platforms. food for thought
