Cig on Craigslist
Not my boat but seems like a decent deal if it checks out... Just in case someone is looking.

Not saying it's a bad deal but a deal that has to have someone who is looking to redo a boat.
Pier 57 just had a Cafe Racer (also and 89 if I recall) and it was clean, turn key, had 500's (don't quote that), with a good trailer, and was listed at $40k. |

That's the one. Beautiful boat. |
The boat on CL looks like its been sitting a while. And with pieces of blue tarp on the dash maybe it was uncovered. I'd check everything on that.

That boat looks trashed. Snow on the dash. I would bet it is one giant rot buckett.

If you got it for free, you might be able spend 40k and 400hrs of labor to make it nice.
Better off to part it out and scrap the rest. |
Sucks, you woukld have to buy that to keep it since it would cost a decent buck to restore... like in my case I am willing to spend whatever on my Mistress as I have zero plan to resell it anytime soon, so it's not a big deal to spend money on it, of course it does not need nearly that much work, just more small cosmetics..

Plus, if your a first time Cigarette owner, another $2k on clothing, stickers and beach towels!
That made me spit out my coffee! |
I wouldn't take that if it was free!

There are the exceptions that know how to take a relic and rebuild it into a beautiful boat. Then there are the dreamers that begin but never finish a project of this magnitude. Then there's me in the Cafe Racer because I know my limitations.

Little wax and motor honey will do it:cartman:

I think I've spent less than $200 in Cig swag in my 14 yrs. of ownership. However, I have a small fortune invested in shirts from all the bars that poker runs and boat trips have taken me to in the same time. Then theres all that free **** that my Baja pals gave me over the years.:party-smiley-020: |
