Cool boat, nice history but for 125K I would rather have had 47 Apache "Medicine Man" that was for sale last year as a turn key boat. Popeye's is cool but very limited use with the 3 or 4 pack interior and it still needs work (fuel tanks and misc work).

Even if it was turn key at 125K I would still rather have Medicine Man since it is more user friendly.

How would the fixed center drive affect handling?

Cool boat for sure. It was in the building at Castaline Maine in FL for years. I got to climb allover it one day. It was still in great shape back then, looks like it's been stored indoors all this time.

-Love the oldies!

Aluminum done right is tough to beat. Cougar pretty well led the way in offshore and had that market covered.

Yrs back I used to see a 40'ish Fountain look alike that was all aluminum. It was bad ass and well done. You could not tell by looking at it that it was not glass and looked to me, identical to a Fountain. Beak and all. Boat was in Leamington Ontarion on Lake Eries north shore line when I was making my crossings.
I heard it was involved in a fatal accident (nothing to do w/the boat) and has since disappeared.

I owned two different aluminum cabin cruisers and loved them both. Remember too what airplanes are made out of

And I never said it was a good deal :thankyouthankyou:

What is it a CUV???? Gotta love the old school mentality of "lets throw some cash at something because we have tons of it!" lol.

CUV is an Italian shipyard, skilled in aluminum fabrication.

Don Shead designed it, CUV fabricated it, Cougar rigged it.

Cinzano of the same age and lineage is still winning endurance races in Europe.

No, Cougar Designed it, Brownie and his crew at Cougar built it (in the old Donzi building on 188th st),
Bob Idoni, Bill Sirios, & Bobby Moore Rigged it, George Morales paid for it all. Al Copeland bought it from George.
