how can you explain that? some say backing off throttle too fast and it is caused by the steps???

some say Tie bar broke and one drive kind of turned ????

wich I don't really believe...

Experts opinion?

Wow, that's the first time that I have seen that video. The slow motion video is pretty clear (compared to some other videos I've seen) so it will be interesting to see what the experts have to say. Tabs look like they are up, but what's interesting is that the boat is coming in for a left hand turn, but the drive (possibly drives, but hard to see both) look as if it is set up to make a right hand turn. Possible steering failer or maybe broken tie bar issue like you mention? The roll itself didn't have the characteristics that I am used to seeing with a stepped hull when the bow catches and trips and send the rest of the boat into a roll...it seemed much more gradual of a roll. Hope that everyone was ok.

That is incredible! Hope everyone made it out OK.

Tie bar? Are you sure that boat has two engines? Looks like one drive back there, maybe a steering ram came off.

Did you see them fall out of the boat!!! wow. looks like a 42 pokerrun fountain

I dont really know what could have happend. Is it possible for a tab to malfunction and burry its self?

Griswald 03-18-2013 03:41 PM

somewhere, the original thread from 2009 already hashed this out

steps dont cause a boat to spin out . . . . pilot error . . . .

I think maybe it is "false keeling"?
