1000 Island Fun Run
 

We went on the 1000 Island Power Boat Club- Fun Run/Poker Run last weekend, what a blast! I had absolutely the best time I have ever had on a boat. Now I know why so many people would spend so much money to enter these events, you can't beat the rush!
We had a big banquet at the end, lots of food and prizes. We met a lot of great people, and these people know how to have a good time!
Hustler26- it was nice to meet you and thanks again for the invitation to join the boat club, most everyone made us feel like we had been a member for years. Mark and Randy are really a class act. (ps-hope you get your boat back on the water soon! I'd love to get a ride sometime)
I wore my OSO apparel and told everyone I could to get on the board, so hopefully we'll get some new members.

Was anybody else there that I missed?

I'm looking forward to doing it again next year.

What did I miss...What 1000 Isl. boat club???

jb- There is a 1000 Islands Powerboat Club, about 60 members. Mark Hodge is president, he has a big Powerplay called "Crazy Horse", he always runs in the June and August poker runs. I'll email you more information if your interested. It's only $50 to join, and you can do the fun run without getting a poker hand, or it's only an extra $25 to get a poker hand.(the 50 also covers an overnight slip at Bonnie Castle)
These are an awesome group of guy's and gal's who love to boat and have a good time.
All sizes of boats, 24 Outlaws to 42 Fountains, and one serious 38 Slingshot.
There are also other activities thru-out the year and a monthly newsletter, well worth the membership!
