No need to be afraid of a glass hatch. I have a hatch pad that I pull out of cabin when the girls want to lay out. Put a couple snaps on and it doesn't move. Just like having a sun pad but the boat looks bad ass when it is off.

The picture on the right is the one that put the hook in me. The impressive stats came later. What a radical lookin ride, they did great with the simple vinyl graphics for that boat too.
I would take any serious person out for a rip just show how good of a boat they really are to spread the Phantom love. Just noticed, is that will driving?

Beautiful boat. I'm in the market as well and I was considering your boat. Tough part, which I couldnt seem to get myself around is the resale value is way down. At the end of the day, the market for people look at phantoms are very very very small. I had a similar problem with my kryptonite. When it came to sell it took 2 years, and I took a pretty big hit on it. The first offer I got i pretty much took because i knew it would be awhile until someone else got hot on the boat. Beautiful boat though. Very best of luck on the sale. Looks to be very respectable numbers 515 a side 93 on a non-stepped bottom.

Doesn't the 2000 have a single step?

Get a twin OB cat, and you can cruise at 70 at half throttle and get 2.5 to 3 mpg. Cockpit will be cramped with 6, but 5 is not a problem.

Ride will be far better than a similarly sized vee hull.

P.S. The open-bow might grow on you, once you get to know the Viper? B.t.w. got no relationship to the two boat owners. D.S.
