Will adding window tint to windshield cut down on dash glare?

My boat has a white dash (Gel coat) and is creates a horrible glare on the windshield. Would it be helpful to add tint? Does anyone have a picture of their boat with tint?

Thanks!

What percent tint did you go with?

Here is my friends fountain. http://americancustommarine.com/2013...-lightning-47/

Your glare will be reduced in direct proportion to the percent tint you go with. Meaning if u have 50 pct tint your glare will be reduced 50 pct. also polarized sunglasses eliminate reflections that come from horizontal surface like roads water and even from you dash

could you put some seadek on the dash or something like that?

I applied matte black vinyl decal paper on my dash & it made a significant difference

Carpet works too, probably the best from a functional standpoint because if you need to step on it to get on the bow it provides grip.

Everyone used to laugh at the old Ocean Yachts hardtops because they were carpeted on the underside. People would say how cheap it was... Ocean put it there intentionally to stop the glare and reflections and it worked.

Or you could tape area off and tasefully apply flat black paint. Thats how the area under my canopies is
done.

My Skater has a matte black textured finish applied to it but you can wipe & clean it. I caution the use of rattle can flat black paint b/c it will mark up very easy.

Seadek lots of color choices, they can cut your boat name or any logo into it, keeps stuff from sliding around, soft, no glare, non-skid, easy to install peel & stick, ect ect... http://www.seadek.com/
