Illuminated switches?

I need to replace all my switches... Bilge, Nav, Horn, etc. As of now they are a 3 position toggle switch with a illuminated light. I know that I only want a ON/OFF switch and not the 3 position one. But the light? Is it needed? I boat maybe 2-3 times a year at night... 4th july and so on. What do you guys think?

The light on the toggle switch is a nice feature....helpful day or night.

Agree. They look cool as hell, and since you're already wired for it.

The nice thing is the light lets you know what is turned on.. Or if you accidentally bumped a switch. Keeps you from draining the battery

Thanks guys, looks like I got my answer. Good points too.
