Default Need a Boat Surveyor in NY

We are going to have a boat that we have for sale Surveyed just so that we have it for the sale, also would like to get a new survey for our Bullet. I am going to look on Boat trader because I think they have a listing per state, but was curios if any one here knows one in NY that they have used.
Any help would be Great
Thanks

Ok I found only one for the 518 area code there must be more.

One of the guys that was interested in the boat said that his bank would probably just want a local dealer to look it over. I think he is way off on that one. More then likely a bank will want a surveyor not a dealer?.

Here are the two nationally recognized surveyor organizations:

National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS)

Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors

I have linked you directly to the NY listings.

(2)in Rochester area: Bartnett Marine Services in Honeoye Falls: 585-624-1380; and Guardian Marine Surveying( James Holzgartner)in Webster: 585-671-0443.

Never used either one, so I can't speak to how good or bad a job they will perform.

Ron,

Have you tried Eric Green? I am in the fire department with him. I have no idea how good he is but he is a licensed surveyor. I CAN TELL you that he is as HONEST as the day is long. A really nice guy.

Good luck.

Has anyone use BMP LLC? Their in northern NJ and look good. Website is miles ahead of most of the other guys in the area. http://www.marinesurveyny.com I was think of using them, but want to here what the collective conciseness has to say first.
