Im bored. I thought this could get interesting. IF someone were ever to perform a head to head test, what would be your pick to survive the longest without breaking? Im not talking about running down river in 6" chop. Im talking good old fashioned offshore running.

#3 Bravo XR vs SSM IV/III (small shaft ssm) 700HP application

#4 Standard Bravo VS. TRS 500HP application

who invented the outdrive how about a Volvo 280 or 290aq

I was suprised the volvo got left out as well. They don't make the DPX any more I don't thinks so they are kind of out of high performance.

I agree this poll does not handle every situation, but thats ok. You will prob need multiple polls for different situations.

Best bravo conversion upgraded drive if money was no object. Complete drive swap. Increased strength, longevity, speed, handling, all come into consideration. Vote only once.
