Not trying to bring a dream to a halt but 5000 a year at $100 isn't going to get you much. Say even half is gross profit that will quickly be eaten up by marketing and any overhead that you have. I think most would be shocked what good marketing costs, and really shocked when we are talking about a new product.

Good luck I hope you can make your dream come true.

Networking is your best friend and getting them placed on retail shelves will be the hardest part, looks like you got that covered. I agree you never want to get the wife too excited, next thing you know she's has already bought a private plane in her mind and then is disappointed when it doesn't happen.

I wish you the best.

Default Possible manufacturer for your new tool

You should contact Bradshaw Medical in Kenosha Wisconsin. They manufacturer surgical hand tools, but are probably well suited to manufacture what you are looking for.

ASk to speak to Guy Bradshaw, great guy, owner of the company.

Good Luck

What kind of manufacturing capabilities are you lookin for! Is the case cast aluminum? Injection molded plastic? Is it something that can be molded or does it need to be machined?

Check this place out.... http://www.emachineshop.com/

They can do small prototype batches all the way up to production runs. Price gets cheaper the bigger the run. Your probably still looking at hand assembly (to start) but worth a look!
