Need a motormount rigging measurement
 

Standard 454 bravo with offshore front mount. The big L brackets were just laying in the bilge. I need a rough measrement from the center of the rear mount to the centerline of the front mount so I can correctly orientate the L brackets to the stringers,,,

Bolt the motor to the bravo transom mount first with the front plate, set the angle bolt on L-brackets then it will be obvious where the mounts need to go. Mark stringer, drill, bolt in and done. I wouldnt trust measuring and drilling without the actual pieces in place. no adjustment available if its off.

holes are already there. Won't have much forklift time to drop it in. So I was going to put the mount on the motor, the L's on the stringers and hope it comes close as I drop it in.

It won't take much forklift time to do it like fantastixvoyage said. Should take about 15-20 minutes, if that. And that's with dropping it in, marking, pulling it up, drilling, then dropping it back in. I would dowel in the old holes so you can drill new ones to make it even easier.

You may get lucky and it will drop right in to the old locations. But if it doesn't, how much more time is it going to take to re-do everything then?
