Tiger Performance Intercom
We just finished up the install this weekend. Our first intercom was a used Boat Com System made by Roger Schlegel in the 80/90's. This system worked ok for racing, but it was bare bones...like an Edsel? A few years later, we then upgraded the Boat Com to the Tiger Performance headphones.
After racing we decided to switch all to the Piratecom system. Not bad, but it was a mono system and we were always changing the volume & squelch (not easy at speed) depending on playing music or for crew communications. The new 2013 Tiger Performance System is a quantum leap in technology. First, TP rewired and upgraded my existing TP headphones to stereo. The 2013 Stereo Tiger system works like this. - Set the squelch at a the "happy point" - Set the volume for iTunes (using iPhone) to rock en roll - When talking into the headphones mic or receiving an incoming call, the volume automatically adjust to normal conversation levels. - Stop talking?....rock en roll comes back! It feels like a new boat! Ben |
