Cobra Marty - Call Chris Reindl on his cell - (513) 706-3199. I just spoke to him this morning.

Mr. Offshore - I've got a 1:59 right now, which is OK with E4's and 530 hp - 86 mph @ 5200. When I had the 600, it was running 5400 @ 88, so I had the props "tweaked", and got 92 @ 5300. I'm looking for a 1:47 drive, which will give me 92 @5200 with stock E4's and ??? with the tweaked ones.

Ocke's got a brand new "Batbygarnna" B-28 for sale (complete) on his site. Not cheap, though...

C_Spray, As far as I know, Bill's 28' is in mothballs. The boat has been properly repaired, but is without power, I believe. You are correct that it is hull #1. It has some of the nicest glass work that I have seen. Ray.

You're right about the glasswork on those Swedish hulls. Mine's 40% Kevlar, epoxy resin, and vacuum bagged. Not a loose strand anywhere. When I took it to Bobby Moore for "the rebuild" in 1997, he told me that it was the best-built hull he had ever seen, including all of the raceboats he'd seen. Nice to know. Any idea how much Bill wants for his?

Mr Offshore - I've only had mine through the "boatwash" at speeds below 45 mph. Above that - no problem. The nice thing about the 28 is that you get some warning. As you see the green/blue wall coming down the deck, you have time to count "one Mississippi..." and look for the wiper switch. (It's also why my windshield is Lexan and not plexiglass.)
