Does the Simple Green take the wax off too?
Saw a post from a few years back that recommended "Swipes". Said the transom soot wiped off easily and it didn't remove the wax. Not sure if it is still around or not.

Roll Off (available in a spray and gallon size)for black marks, and soot. Power One from Fountain of Youth for the yellow discoloring at the water line. Power One works like the acid based products (very fast, spay on wait, rinse off) however it doesn't burn like an acid based product. TO clean water spots off chrome, stainless, xhaust tips, etc vinegar.

Some yellowing Power One will not touch. The yellowing/buildup I get on my hull on my local lake just laughs at Power One. Works takes it right off.

Simple Green will take wax off. Greez-off is great for transom soot. Spray the transom down with the hose, follow with greez-off let it sit for 5 minutes, come back with a brush and it'll be good. If you have nooks and crannys, take a ride to autozone and buy one of those mits. IMO it's a great combo.

x2 on the "works" toilet bowl cleaner. Have to be careful and fast as it will turn your boat blue if not done quickly. but at $1.38 from walmart it is the BOMB for yellowing and bottom scum. works great on rusty fittings as well!

Loved it. Just hose down your trailer before applying and after, not a big deal.
