Adding fuel tanks?????
What is the safest and best way to add additional fuel storage?
I have tanks in the belly now.
The boat is a 99 32 active thunder V-bottom
I would like to ad about anouther 50-75 gallons of capacity for some extended range cruising.
I though a tank on each side in the rear?

West marine sells aluminum and plastic tanks in a variety of sizes and shapes, including saddle tanks. If you have room forward of your motors on each side, I'm sure they could be mounted with a little glass work.
BTW, forget the electric tank selector valves. I've had a couple different types fail. Use the old fashion mechanical selector valve.
Also, I think there's an article on yachtsurvey.com that talks about correct fuel tank mounting.

I think your first call
should be to IMCO who makes Alum. Tanks...
909-592-6162 ask for fred.
second would be Fuel-Safe
which is a soft bladder
type and they are Bend OR.
www.fuelsafe.com.
I also have 2 sets of side
tanks that were never used
send a drawing and I will
see if a set will work.
