yes . stuff has gone up . hosing alone is like 4 dollars a foot . I did exactly what youre wanting to do . exactly everything on back of boat stayed . all cable assist inside torn out . full hydrollic to the helm installed with dual powersteering pumps . new canister, lines, filter , bypass valve, fitting ect , helm . it wasn't cheap . but worth it . good luck

Yesd... This is the same as I have now....I have hydraulic power assist with two rams mounted between my trs drives and cable from helm to transom. I basically can keep my current rams and tie into inside my engine compartment. But I will need everything forward.....Thanks to all of the responses...Does anyone have any used system available?

How did you make out with your full hydraulic system for your boat and do you have any pictures that you can post for outside and inside your boat?

Hello
I have just purchased a complete external Mercury twin ram hydraulic steering set up to install on my twin TRS Formula.
Would you mind getting me a measurement from the inside of the gimble housing to the inside of the cylinder bracket that bolts thru the transom.
I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks for now
Ron
