Default It's together!! It runs!! It shifts!!! It doesn't leak!!!

the only thing that went right on this whole project was that when I got everything back together, the motor started right up, and the new shift cable was actually set right without me messing with it one bit!!!!!! In forward gear, out of gear, in reverse gear. No fuss, no muss.

BUT, the trim button on my throttle no longer works. I played with the limiter on the drive, even swapped it out for the one on my old assembly (the button worked last week before removing the broken assembly). For the weekend (because I HAVE to go boating after the week I had!!!!) I will just use the trailer button on the dash to trim up.

Oh, and no slop in the steering now. Gonna be nice to be able to steer a straight line again.

Here's hoping nothing leaks with the boat IN the water.

When you gonna be able to get down here again Scott?? We have a poker run for work on August 7. You're welcome to ride with me. That's a wednesday night by the way.

Or any other time for that matter.

Mike, glad to hear it all came together. BTW, how do you trim down with the trailer switch? Mine only raises the drive. The button on the throttle is the only way I can lower mine. Oh well, it is always somethin'. You'll get it figured out, I'm sure. Don't know if I'll be out this weekend. The weather is not lookin' too good. If I do decide to go I'll give you a call when I get there. Grand Haven, of course.

See ya, Doug

Mac-I believe the trim limit switch only controls the up circuit, so the trailer can bypass it and the regular down switch still works. Besides, who ever trims down? Now mike, be quick and winterize it before something else breaks!

Hey Mike just a thought. Did you miss hooking up power to that? Is it pulling its power off the engine some were? May be worth a quick look today now that you have had some time away from it. Good luck man!!!
