Please help me find my long lost prop :)
I have been searching for a LH 26P Mach Prop for a long time with no success :( :(
I had a pair of these counter rotating bad boys and one of them grenaded on my leaving me with just the RH one. Can someone please steer me in the direction on either where I might be able to find another LH 26P Mach, or another pair of Clever props that will match or surpass these on my application? I have since added a little weight to the boat (about 250lbs towards the stern) and with the new props that I have now (Bravo's) they do not give the stern lift that the Mach's did before and therefore im alot slower on the top end and i don't nearly look as cool with no rooster anymore haha. Please help me find some go fast and look cool props! Haha Thanks everyone! Trevor. |
Contact KajunATVer on this site. He bought my 27 Fountain a few years ago. I gave him a LH 26 Mach as a back up prop when I sold the boat to him. He may still have it.

Thanks will do! Also, what is your opinion of switching to a set of Hydro Q4's? Anyone know how they would compare?
|
what kind of boat drives and engines do you have are the props spinning in or out?
|
I have a 34ft Mirage with 2 - 225 Mercury 2 strokes. With the Mach Cleaver props I got way more stern lift and thus way less drag. With the Bravos it is sluggish out of the hole and definately sits lower at WOT. Basically im looking to duplicate what the Mach Props did for me. I am not going to fiddle around with machining holes in the Bravos. They just don't give me enough stern lift.
Any thoughts? |
the hydros Q 4's will glue the ass of the boat to the water.. is this what you have?? or do yours look more like the hydro blade design..

Port engine runs the RH prop, Sbrd engine turns the LH. So spin in?
Mine are spinning in because I need the bow lift. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps841be3ad.jpg |
Mach prop can work pretty well. The Mach lock hub saves Bravo's (I was an early racer of Bravo's) Call Billy at Don's Marine salvage he had some Mach's there. I am pretty sure I have a set of 29's still.

Smiklos can you PM me the contact info for them? I would appreciate it a lot! Cant sell my Bravos till I get ahold of another Mach! :)
As far as "Swapping the Props" That would involve swapping the lower units right? |
for testing purposes you would just use reverse for forward and vice versa, if you like the way it handles then you just change the way the cables are connected to the shifters to switch the operation. Bravo drives can run in either direction with no problems maybe somebody with outboard knowledge can chime in if the same is true for your outboards.
