Hood scoop or......
I'm trying to find a way to fit the new blower setup under the hatch. Not wild about a scoop, but don't see another way. I thought about a sleek smaller scoop facing backwards if I can find one. I've seen some boats with them in the past. I'm at the bottom of the hatch with out carbs and flame arresters. Basically looking for ideas.
Thanks in advance. http://i1126.photobucket.com/albums/...17BAA16ABC.jpg http://i1126.photobucket.com/albums/...17BC87C54C.jpg |

You might talk to an engine builder about removing the chiller. You won't have to spin that blower as fast to get the boost you want & with slower blower speed you might run into issues with uneven mixture in the lower manifold after running through the chiller. Plus you won't have to plumb the chiller. I had some extensive conversations about this subject with my whipple set up. Randy

I don't mind the scoops, but I need something to match the boat. I might go with one of the aero tear drop scoops and face it backwards. Think it may look good.
As for the chiller, its set to spin 1:1 right now and it made 7 psi on a 509 with similar cam specs to mine. I hoping it works good because I love how tall it is. Makes it look more intimidating. In my opinion anyway. |

well . . . if ya do go with a scoop placement is critical :D
saw this at loto one year |
Note to self....no scoop on the nose. Looks a bit odd for sure and sure it doesn't help aerodynamics.

That looks like a Bayliner Capi with a bad nose habit. :D

OEM cabin fan replacement for a VIP also increases bow lift. LOL

I would refrain from adding one if you could, not only do they look like dik, but less skanks can lay out on the back if you have a scoop cock-blocking you....:faint2::faint2:
