We had use of the Rio Roses/Lip-ship Cigarette at the SBI Ft. Myers race a few months ago. It was a very impressive boat. Great lines, great handling and it is a Cigarette! Of course, with the name also comes the price tag. I do not have any idea what the retail price is, but I can guarantee that it is not cheap. If you can swing it, you will have an incredible boat!!

I also have a desire for these type boats. I agree with the above boats and also love and impressed with the CONCEPT that is built near the Miami airport. Concert Powerboats. The thing I like about Powerplays is the fact they can build it with big blocks and bravos if you choose. I haven't figured out why the new Scarabs did away with the cuddy up front.
|
I almost forgot the Midnight Express. Big boat, lots of gas and what a name for that type boat.

Wardly,
I have a 88 F-33 DONZI with 97 250 EFI MERC’S. I am a big fan of center consoles; you can do anything with them. If you want speed look nowhere else than the 33 CIG or 33 Power play, Midnight makes a great boat with a real good ride in the rough but you'll have to throw more power at it to get the speed. If I could afford one I would have a 33 Café Open with 300’s. Let us know what you go with. Brad |
Hey Wardey,
Here is center console that BAD ASS! twin custom 502 550 HP on Bravo's 80+ mph! Check out my personal galleries for a pict! |
This is the Link to Goodfellas boat. http://www.offshoreonly.com/gallery/....php?photo=332

You may want to check out: Intrepid Boats
|
Hey Strike .....
.....are you guys a dealer for Intrepid ?????
|
Hey don't worry about having outboards, after all they are made for boats, unlike i/o's which are glorified car engines. nobody rip my head off, I have no problem with huge horsepower i/o's. I'm kind of leaning toward a center console myself because they are so versatile. You never really spend time in the cabins, except to change clothes and sleep anyway, so the benches are kind of pointless. The extra cockpit means more people, and more people means a better party. just my .02

My boss just picked up an older cigarette with triple 225 optimax. And that is a real sweet boat. I was out running it on friday night. I think we got it up to about 70mph on the speedo and it handled great. Bobby

No we are not an Intrepid dealer, but I really like the boat. We have a customer who has one we service.
|
www.yellowfinyachts.com no cabin but otherwise nothing else even comes close. 31 with 2 300's 74MPH 36 with 3 300's 72 MPH. Boating just did a 6 boat test YF won hands down.
They are also built in Sarasota, some come down and go for a DEMO you won't be dissapointed. 941-753-7828 |
If you want a truly "one off", call Mark Adams @ (954)797-8969.
He's selling the only Apache center console of its kind. Beautiful boat! |
Midnight Express, 4 225's looks nice. Also Cig Cafe Open is great, ive heard good things about the Interpid's but not really as "performance" oriented as the other ones. Pantera will build you a nice center console, go to there website under owners boats, they look great and handle great also.
-hope this helps -PL |
i have been on the adrenaline 38 a few times and it runs over 70 with trip 250s.....awesome boat, they also build a 28 with twin 300s that runs close to 80.......561-615-8487 Adrenaline Marine
|
center console pantera.
|
i have been on a few performance center consoles and the one that stands out in my mind was the 38 adrenaline built here in west palm that runs 70+ with triple 250s and they also build a 28 with twin 300s that runs almost 80....24 degree race hull!!

I have an 87 Cigarette 31 CC.
It is really nice having all the extra room to move around and my friends really like it because you can put a bunch of people on it. The "Coffin Box" is just big enough for 2 people to crawl into for a few hours of sleep. When friends are with us there is enough room for a 2 person air matress in the front of the boat between the door and the seat. The rear bench and the floor below it have been used also. The one pain in the but is all the canvas that needs put on if it's going to rain. the front covers from the bow to the center and then zips and snaps to another section and continues to the back. I have seen Scarab Sports with Camper tops on that allowed them to stand up and move about even in the pouring rain. It's no big deal even if it rains during the day or if no ones with us at night I just cover the center and let it flow to the bildge. The boat is pretty heavy at 7700 lbs with 30 gallons of fuel and runs in the low 60's with 3 220 mercurys. Here is one like it for sale. http://www.avantipowerboats.com/Used42.htm Cordell |

Hey Cgarrett, My boss was wondering how you like the boat and all. And was wondering how it is docking? He seems to be having a hard time with it. But this is his first boat with triples. He just got the boat last friday and his boat is an 87 also. thanks
|
I have a 2001 Phantom 29' CC, 8.1 Volvo GSi single. 60 mph, great low rpm cruise speed. This is a shortend 34' F2 hull. No cuddy, but it is a great riding, practical Florida boat.
|
dont know what size exactly your looking for but glasstream in the panhandle of florida has a new all tooled 28 step center console with cabin which was at the miami show, looked awesome. twin 250's registered mid 80's and the price tag under 60K for everything including trailer.
|
Thanks for the input !!! I'm looking at the Cig real hard if I can find one chep enough. EBay had a 2000 with a starting bid of 90K awhile back. If I can get into one for around the 120K range I would like to go that route. I'm looking for a 31 plus foot boat with a small cabin and still runs in the 70 or 80's. I looked at the Concept but I really wasn't impressed with the rigging. Intrepid's are nice but I want something alittle more performance looking. Power Play has some nice offerings. Anyhow, again thanks for the input's.Dave Warden

Does your boss also have the 31 Cigarette Decathlon?
I've seen a few pictures of different ones on the net but they are pretty rare. I have some pretty good brochures and information on the boat that was passed on to me by the original owner. I have better luck with twin inboards at docking and moving sideways but in time he will get better with it I'm sure. I keep the center motor in neutral and use the outside two to get around the docks. If he's on line have him shoot me an email: [email protected] If not you give me an address and I can pass it along. Cordell |

I know there not everyones favorite company on this board, but the new fountain 34c\c Is a great boat. 68 w\trip 225. this ones not a raceboat hull made to go fishing , but a fishing boat hull made to go fishing fast.

Here ya go too old this is the slimmer suv version if thats what you were refering to. I sized the first photo down to meet the 50kb max to post , which didn't do the boat justice.

I'm not trying to be pushy here but if you are looking for the best running Sportfish out there check out the yellowfin www.yellowfinyachts.com
Come down and go for a test drive you won't be let down. QST4IT that line about fast fishing boats is from Yellowfin's brouchure. |
Well Ryan I didn't mean to borrow from their brochure at all haven't even looked at it to be honest. This 34 was built from the floor up, not off of an exsisting hull (racing or other) specificly with emphisis on fishing fast.
Ken |
Wardy, I think were in the same boat.... I too may be looking to switch over as well. Have you looked in to the 34 Baja CC? Looks pretty nice as for comfort creatures as well.
|
Bruce - I have a buddy that has a Baja 34 and I just don't like the roundness of it. Too Europian or something. Plus his transum is cracking after a year.
Mike Carter - You know what they say, "A Cig is a Cig, all others are just boats !". The Concepts are nice but the rigging needs a little work. YOU, should have picked that out!:D Hey do you have plans to go down to the Bahamas? Was talking with Steve and Gary yesterday.....maybe the Corsa in P4 ??? Let me know. Dave Warden |

|
I called Mike at Adrenaline for more info on their boats. The one Bull has been putting on here is their demo boat which has 60 hrs is a 38 footer with motor brackets its just under 40'.
They want $140k for that one. Here is their number if you want to call. 561-351-3964. I have also been looking into the Concept Boats as well. You may also want to check them out. |
