looking for a GPS for the boat,these are refurbs for about $150.00 off of new,also has Anybody had any luck using the ipad GPS in the direct sunlight?thanks]

Pretty sure Im going to get a nexus 7 and use it tethered from my iphone for internet service. I have hand held gps as a backup when Im way out.
