I like to run wide open in big sloppy water. Can't hardly walk the next day. Last time out it was a small craft advisory. Wasn't a boat to be found anywhere not even a fishing boat. I pushed it to the wood and let it eat. Couldn't hardly stand the next day and my buddy rubbed his backside raw. I'm done standing up. Payed my dues.

We all are different.
I have been in rough standing and love it. I have never been too sore or beat the next day, maybe it is my "youth"".
Sit downs don't do anything for me and just feel odd. Maybe this is just one of the reasons I don't care for cats

Anyone had any experience in a newer Outerlimits 29 SV? 2 back surgeries and concerned about the pounding from sitting down. It's probably the only thing holding me back from considering this boat.

I wonder as well. I had 3 surgeries and a stimulator implanted. The doc says no boating, I disagree, got to live!

Sitting down lets you run the boat much harder. If you are strapped in and your ass dont leave the seat it generally wont hurt. The 29 OL has very hard seats, when I ran in it the ride was good but I would put a Skater type of seat in it the are very secure and comfortable. I feel stand up boats are much better for pleasure boating, the CG is generally higher with deep freeboard. If you have a bad back I would stand up or be very careful in a sit down boat.
