besides the two that Philip posted, there was a 21 challenger race boat that ran around greenwood lake NY late 70's early 80's. had twin mercs on it, the boat was named infinity III owned by a guy named Gene who lived on the island but owned a house in gwl. he owned a few car dealerships.
anyone know what happened to that challenger? wouldn't mind making that my next project boat was a blast |

Was not Denooyer's original Sting a 21 challenger with a sternpowr drive and a huge motor? It was around a lot this summer with a Bravo setup now.

Gene lived at the entrance to the east arm of the lake. T2X ran that boat in a number of races back then. I drove it a few times on the lake, boat ran beautiful, as did most if not all of the twin 21's. Gene also had two more single engine 21 challengers, a red and I think a blue or was it brown? Maybe Philip remembers. They sat at his house mostly neglected and only would be used infrequently. |
It was brown, it was my boat. Its in Aruba now :(

Nice to see George Posting on his thread
Here's a link to a video from this past Sunday 9-23-12 Ran from Jamesport around shelter island and back, a good 65 mile run. Running In water I have to assume this boat was originally designed for Maybe george or rich can chime in on that. The boat ran flawlessly and took the pounding no 35 year old hull should, unfortunatlly the motor did not fair as well LOL . Check at about 9 min in for close ups of her running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3S08...e_gdata_player Thanks to dnelson in his 22 activator for posting this |
