T2x, Im interested to find out why the twins ran flatter than the single engines?

RBT, thats a very interesting bottom setup!! I assume that it was working on a venturi effect?

Not quite. Rob is so full of hot air that he had a large pipe hooked directly from the tubes to the drivers side of the boat and equipped with a mouthpiece into which he blew. :evilb:

Twins had so much more power and torque that they needed much less positive trim than a single....hence they ran considerably flatter....and were significantly better in rough water as well.......Of course that was after you added the ballast.

I completely agree on the twins in rough water. I only drove mine a little with the twins before I restored the boat... to a single. It made it a lot nicer to drive and much more practical, but never had the power or rough water ability. With the 300 it was a pleasure to drive, with the old twins...... an animal.

Airpacker, if you could have bow hot air down the other pipe it might have gone 100!
