The 8.1 and 4.10 got you a 12,000 towing capacity. Only came in Suburban, Yukon XL, and Avalanche 01-05. The 3.73 gear gave you an 10,900 capacity as I recall,

I just want an 8.1 with HD towing package. Could really care less about towing capacity. If something breaks it breaks. I have been towing my big boats with 2500 Suburbans for decades without a problem
