Old OSO pics. Circa 2002.
My wife and I were going through a large tub of old photos we have from the late film camera to early digital camera days. Back when I used to print all my digital pics. I came across a few pics from Memorial Day weekend in 2002 at LOTO. If memory serves me right, this was the weekend that all the Midwest peeps were engaged in a little wager with Nort and his West Coast crew. The bet was to see who could get the most members together for a group photo at their respective watering holes. Ours was LOTO, his was Havasu. I believe the good guys won. :)
Anyway, I found a few pics from that weekend I thought would be cool to share and bring back some memories. First pic. I remember when this thing came through. Took me awhile to wrap my head around it. Notice the boat tag on the front fender. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps32df6413.jpg http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps2b96304d.jpg This was Shorty and Dawn. I believe his screen name was mach1shorty. We spent a few Memorial Day weekends with them. Miss hanging out with them. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...psd4ebf6fd.jpg Can't remember who this was. This pic and the next few are of all the boats from OSO coming in to tie up together outside Lazy Days condos just before Party Cove. We were setting up to take a group pic. Somewhere deep in the archives of OSO is the pic of us all tied up. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps77ec7650.jpg http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...psaa98ec9e.jpg Griff coming in to tie up. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps3d2fc8a9.jpg I remember watching Medicine Man go by me that day on the way to PC in the rough water. I was in complete aw watching it cruise so easily in the water. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...psc1835e3d.jpg More pics to come..... |
Next run of pics are general group photos of us all tied up together in PC. If you know who you're looking at you should see Griff, Gordo, JawBreakerKid, Mama Tryed, Smitty, Wally, Lutzparty and Miss Amy, Audiofn, G-Force, Waterfoul, Tbonepmp, and a few others I'm probably forgetting.

Next one is Lutzparty and Miss Amy's boat. Griff's Pantera is next to it in the foreground. You can barely see the windshield of our boat next to Griff's.
If you look closely at the back of the Sea Ray you can see the infamous stripper pole from that weekend. I believe there are some pics of that floating around on some old threads here somewhere. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...psc623caa4.jpg Unfortunately, this asshat hasn't gotten any better looking since this pic was taken. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps41bb6489.jpg I almost didn't post this next pic. Didn't think there was much to show in it. I happen to see the name of the boat in the far right. You can barely read the name. To those who know you'll get the significance. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps91e8ac87.jpg That's all I have.... |
Wow cool...sad about g-force

If you tried this now, there would be a fight breaking out every 15min....sad |
A quick search revealed the smack talking thread leading up to that weekend. Good times for sure.

Cool thread, Buck.

Blast from the past. Now I am going to have to find some old pics as well. I have a lot of printed ones to scan and I will have to fire up my 15 yr old comp. and try to retrieve some digital stuff.
Man those were some good times. And amazingly I can still remember the first time meeting people there and still have those friendships today. |
Great thread, what became of Tbonepmp?
