Assuming the tach is right and you are only getting 4500 rpm's with a 23 mirage + then a 24 bravo 1 would not be a good prop as it would probably put you close to 4100. A 22 bravo would be similar in rpm's compared to your mirage prop.
In my opinion, I think there may be something going on with the motor if it is in fact only able to spin a 23p mirage to 4500. My last boat was a baja 235 force and I built a mild 486 that was maybe close to 400 hp and it spun my 23 mirage + to 5000-5100. I ended up going to a 25 mirage+ to lower the rpms a little because I had a cast bottom end and didnt want to spin it that high. My point is I think that a 502 should be able to turn the 23 to at least 5000 with ease. My Baja was a little smaller, but don't think that is an issue here. |
Don't listen to cp5899!!!!! He is going to try to talk you into a huge ass blower!!!
Lol, you want fast, go take a ride in his lil monster!:lolhit: |
My next post/suggestion was to install a quad rotor setup as it should fix your tachometer issues. :lolhit: :lolhit:

I know everyone on here recommended him highly BUT that type of customer service isnt right So Wed I will send the prop to Scott at Mercury Racing, where I had quite a few done in the past Everyone said he was the best and did alot with Baja......oh well |
