Surge Brakes & Torsion Axles

I am buying a dual axle aluminum trailer and I am looking for advise on should I get it with the option of surge brakes and torsion axles. I am going with the option of disc brakes on both axles but do I need surge brakes also? Boat and engine & gear weigh 6000 lbs.

YES , ON BOTH. THE SURGE IS WHAT APPLYS THE BRAKE PRESS. YOU WILL BE HAPPY THAT YOU HAVE THEM.
