Default Big Cat Poker Run Roaring to Life

The Big Cat Poker Run folks are getting ready for another good one, http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...oaring-to-life.

For those who are game for fun on some rather unusual waterways, the Big Cat is a good pick.

Thanks for posting Matt....

I camp at the Historics every year same weekend.... Somehow I think I would be getting beat up at the back of the pack anyway.....

What's so unusual about our water anyway?

My pleasure.

To answer your question: Slues. The slues (small channels that connect the larger waterways) dogleg 90 degrees to the right and left and form the boating equivalent of a giant hedge maze that makes you feel like you're a million miles away from anything, as well a little "lost" even when you're not. Call me strange, you wouldn't be the first, but I like that feeling when I'm on the water. The only constant is Mt. Diablo to the west, which you can see from pretty much anywhere in the Bay area.

It's such an awesome place Matt- more should come, but I know they are scared and need a tour guide!! Lol... Lots of people like to hate on the delta but 99% of the people that do are just intimidated by it so they talk $hit!!
