Default Info on Daytona Marine Engines please ?!?!

Ok here it goes. I was born raised and live in Daytona bch. Fl. So anything historical that happend here I have a great interest in.Ihave recently become friends with a man here by the name of Rick Tinsley, who has started a Maritime museum at the old Daytona boat works that covers the history of what has happend there over the last 100 years. To my surprise that is where The Daytona Marine engine corp was in the 60s ( not sure when the doors closed).Rick has a small room dedicated to the history of Daytona engines and thier part in off shore racing. Rick and I would both love to have more info on Daytona engines and hear from those of you that actually raced and worked on them. I would love to see one or some in person. If any of you know where I could find some or one of these engines in any condition I would love to see them in this museum. I know some of you have this knowledge, maybe Brownie, or Charlie Mcarthy. Also if any one is in the daytona area the Dayton Meritime museum is worth seeing. Thank you for any help anyone can be. Ryan

Unfortunately I was a kid in the 90s, I wish I could have been around when smokey was doing a lot of motors. My dad knew him a little and said he was always workig on really unique stuff.

I live near Bobby Moore, who worked with Daytona Motors. I'll ask him next time I see him.

A long over due thank you to C_Spray for the lead to Bobby Moore ! He had so many awesome stories of both the old days of offshore racing and modern day stuff. It was such a pleasure to talk to Bobby for over an hour. He also shared some great info on Daytona engines, all the boats he rigged with them, ran, raced and tested. Like many on OSO have said before, it is great to hear from the people that have been there! from the 60s on.
