Newbiw first performance boat advice sought
Many years and loads of days offshore on fishing boats, outboards and twin diesels. I have my 100 ton Master and enjoy being on the water in everyting from aluminum duck hunting boats to peformance boats..
Recently got infected with this performance boat thing and want to put my toe in the water - not looking to do a reverse triple flip swan dive from the high board into the deep end but would like to participate in some poker runs and what not. I looking for: twins, 60-70 mph and under 11,000 lbs. with a trailer - if possible. I want reliability over speed and a good ride over speed. For whatever reason, again I'm a newb, I am thinking 30-33' but seek the advice of the brain-trust here. Down below space would be nice. <$45,000 preferred, under $35,000 all the better. Thank you all in advance. |
Within your guidelines you could spend (notice spend not invest!) anywhere from $25M to $200M. You will get good feed back if you a pick a price range like maybe $30-50M. With this established, there are high preformace boat brokers that can shop for you and give you solid direction, vs just selling you on what's on the shelf.

30-50m? He didn't say yachts!! Lol. Sure you meant thousand.
For the 11000$ and up range it'll be a mid to late 80s 26-28 formula, nova, baja. Something of that sort. Likely twin small blocks netting 55-65. Spending less than 11 will not be easy for a good boat. One that needs work. Ask me how I know!! Lol |
I think he means 11,000lbs with the trailer... He may have a tow vehicle that can handle 11,000lbs... $11,000 won't get the job done...

I am so sorry for the confusion.
Looking to keep the boat/trailer package under 11,000 POUNDS or thereabouts. Looking to keep the package under $45,000. I should have made that clearer; again, sorry about that.. |
